🎭 What Is Mental?
My third feature. I’ve made a rom-com with non-white leads. A Black female-led London drama. I've written Sci-Fi scripts, Thrillers and Period novels.Mental is the darkest story I’ve told — a young Black man, a mind-reading bag lady, and a broken filmmaker, all squatting as the city burns around them.It’s a film, yes — but also a rebellion.

Mental
Black male, 24–30. Solidly built, intense, quietly sharp. A people-pleaser with a dangerous edge.Ex-mental health patient. Ex-prisoner. A student of George. (He is Africa).
George
Iranian man, 60s. Disabled, sweat-stained, anxious, brilliant.A weary academic wearing the scars of trauma. (He is the Middle East).
Maureen
Woman, 60–80. Bag lady. Mind-reader.Seen as mad, but sees everything.
(She is Gaia).
Emilia
White woman, 22-25.Educated, attractive, entitled and out of place. (She is The West).
